10 Years. $10,000 on the Line. It’s The Bryan Mize Memorial
Rocket Raceway Park in Petty, Texas will be one hoppin’ venue this Labor Day Weekend. It’s the 10th Annual Bryan Mize Memorial race and it’s bigger than ever before. This bucket list race that has seen six different host tracks will pay $10,000 to win for not one but two racing divisions along with $3,000 to win for USRA Factory Stocks and USRA Limited Modifieds/USRA BMods.
The USRA Modifieds have been the showcase division at the Bryan Mize Memorial for the past seven years. This year Kevin Sustaire has decided to celebrate the remembrance of his Crew Chief in the same fashion the Memorial Race began, by racing USRA Modifieds and IMCA Modifieds, both divisions will be competing for $10,000.
The Event initiated in 2015 at Grayson County Speedway and saw the Waco, Texas Legend Keith White win the IMCA Modified portion and Troy Taylor winning the Outlaw Modified Division. In 2016 the event was held in Ennis at 85 Speedway, Dean Abbey (IMCA) and Wesley Veal (Outlaw) were the victors. 2017 was dominated by Ken Schrader at Heart O’ Texas Speedway in Waco, Texas, Schrader won both divisions of Modifieds that year. Kennedale Speedway Park hosted 2018, John Gober was the lone victor as the event shifted to one division racing for the Mize glory.
2019, 2020, and 2021 were all held at RPM Speedway, Clyde Dunn Jr swept all 3 years. Then the event shifted to Rocket Raceway Park where Cade Dillard (2022) and Jason Hughes (2023) were victorious. Now it’s time for the 10th edition of the massive modified showcase, and Kevin Sustaire is bringing back the IMCA Mods and making this one the biggest of them all. The only place to witness this historic event will be at Rocket Raceway Park or on RaceON.com and the RaceON apps. CLICK Here to stream the event live!
